Trivita AI is hiring a Senior Software Backend Engineer with 3+ years of Python experience, FastAPI/Django expertise, and AI application integration skills.
Job description
- Design, build, and maintain production-grade backend services in Python using FastAPI or Django.
- Architect APIs, data models, and pipelines that power AI applications.
- Integrate LLMs and AI services into production products, including streaming, tool calling, and structured outputs.
- Build application features connecting AI systems with databases, internal services, and user-facing interfaces.
- Optimize performance, concurrency, reliability, and resource utilization under production workloads.
- Own deployment, monitoring, debugging, and continuous improvement of services using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with AI engineers to translate model capabilities into scalable, maintainable product features.
- Take ownership of technical decisions and drive implementation from requirements through production delivery.
Requirements
- Strong Python engineering skills, with 3+ years of hands-on software development experience.
- Proven experience designing, shipping, and maintaining production software systems.
- Strong understanding of API design, asynchronous programming, database optimization, and distributed systems.
- Ability to independently integrate AI/LLM services and turn API capabilities into robust application features.
- Experience diagnosing production issues and making sound trade-offs between performance, reliability, cost, and maintainability.
- Comfortable taking ownership across service boundaries and collaborating directly with AI, Product, and Infrastructure teams.
Technical skills
- Backend: Python, FastAPI/Django, async programming, REST APIs, background jobs, and event-driven architectures.
- AI Application Integration: LLM APIs, streaming responses, tool calling, structured outputs, and conversation state management.
- Data Layer: PostgreSQL, JSONB, Redis, SQL optimization, and data modeling for AI-powered applications.
- Real-time Systems: WebSockets, Server-Sent Events (SSE), and concurrent request handling.
- Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, cloud deployment, observability, and production debugging.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience building internal AI platforms, chatbot systems, or AI-driven automation tools.
- Familiarity with vector databases such as Qdrant, Milvus, pgvector, or Pinecone.
- Experience with message queues, workflow orchestration, and distributed task processing.
- Contributions to open-source software, AI applications, or developer tools.
